Mo Hopkins – First Team Manager

Bridgwater & Taunton College (BTC) and Middlezoy Rovers Football Club are thrilled to announce a significant new partnership, uniting their efforts to create an unparalleled pathway for football development in Somerset.

As part of this new development, Mo Hopkins, Football Development Manager at BTC, will take up the reigns as Middlezoy Rovers FC 1st Team Manager. This appointment will not only support the player transitions from BTC, but also support the development of current senior players at the club.

Mo Hopkins is the 1st Team Manager of Middlezoy Rovers FC, bringing extensive experience across both grassroots and elite football development. Alongside his club role, he currently serves as the Football Performance & Development Manager at Bridgwater & Taunton College (Team BTC), where he oversees the progression of student-athletes in both academic and competitive football environments.

Mo is also actively involved at regional and national levels, holding several influential roles including English Colleges FA National Team Coach & Regional Officer, Somerset FA Representative Team Manager, Somerset County Schools FA Team Manager & Vice Chairman, and Chairman & Head of Football at Taunton District Schools FA.

His coaching journey includes a wealth of previous experience: he has served as an FA Coach Mentor and held senior coaching positions with several semi-professional and professional clubs. These include Assistant Manager roles at Taunton Town FC and Tiverton Town FC, youth team management at Yeovil Town FC alongside being Head of Youth, and coaching the U15, U16, and U18 teams at Bristol Rovers FC.
