Men’s 1st Players Selected for England Schools SW Squad
Congratulations to Kamil Rozalski who has has been selected in the England Schoolboys’ U18 squad.
Great performances in Telford also from Sammy Scott, Charlie Sidhu & Connor Cussans who were all unlucky to not make the final squad. Football is a journey over many years and some have only just begun.
Admiral Blake Lodge Donation to Middlezoy Rovers U13 Football Team
Admiral Blake Lodge recently donated to the Middlezoy Rovers U13 football team of £200,
which was matched by many of the other Lodges which meet at the Bridgwater Masonic Hall
making total support from the Lodge of £900. This support was prompted by Brother Matt
Bell who is a member of the Admiral Blake Lodge, and a team coach for the football club.
The donations made were to support the team with a new team kit for them to play their
games in. The new kit design includes a section on the front which shows that the team were
“Supported by Somerset Freemasons”.
The team attended the Bridgwater Masonic Lodges Charity Day on the 8 th of November to
visit the hall after their game that morning for a quick tour. Proceeds from the raffle held at
the Charity Day brought up the total donations to the team by a further £120. The team
enjoyed their visit greatly, and were happy to show off their new kit to some of the members.
Bridgwater & Taunton College and Middlezoy Rovers FC Announce Landmark Partnership to Elevate Local Football.
Bridgwater & Taunton College (BTC) and Middlezoy Rovers Football Club are thrilled to announce a significant new partnership, uniting their efforts to create an unparalleled pathway for football development in Somerset.
The collaboration marks a pivotal moment for football in the region, promising enhanced opportunities for players of all ages and abilities.
This exciting alliance will see Team BTC and Middlezoy Rovers FC work closely together to provide a comprehensive and progressive football experience. The partnership builds upon an existing relationship that has previously seen Middlezoy Rovers FC utilise the College’s state-of-the-art training facilities.
As part of this new development, Mo Hopkins, Football Development Manager at BTC, will take up the reigns as Middlezoy Rovers FC 1st Team Manager. This appointment will not only support the player transitions from BTC, but also support the development of current senior players at the club.
Team Management and Committee/Officers Changes for 2025-6
The football club would like to take this opportunity to thank those officials who are stepping down as we look towards the new season:
Jason Yeoman has resigned as Chairperson.
Steve Baker has resigned as President.
The 1st Team Management Team of Craig Berry, Brett Andrews and Phil Purvis feel it is time for others to try and navigate the South West Peninsula League.
Scott Rich has resigned as Reserve Team Manager.
All have given huge amounts of time and tireless effort to the football club. Willing people are priceless in grass roots football and as a club we cannot thank those individuals enough. All of the above changes have occurred with the progression of the club as the focus.
Some will still be at the club and others still have to decide on their future football activities.
